Refunds, cancellations & rescheduling

This policy applies to advisory consultations offered by Cognitive Compute Employment Consulting, including Career Transition Advisory, document reviews, interview preparation, and notice-period planning.

Eligibility for refunds

Fees are for professional time and preparation. Refunds are available when we cancel an engagement and cannot offer a suitable alternative date, or when you cancel within the timeframes below before work has started.

Timeframe for cancellation by the client

• Single sessions (interview preparation, standalone reviews): full refund if cancelled at least 48 hours before the scheduled start.
• Multi-session engagements: deposit refundable in full if you cancel at least 7 days before the first session and no preparatory document review has begun. After preparatory work begins, the deposit is non-refundable; unused future sessions may be refunded on a pro-rata basis minus work already delivered.

Full vs partial refunds

A full refund returns the amount paid for the cancelled service. A partial refund applies when some sessions or document work have already been delivered. Completed sessions are charged at the applicable rate; remaining prepaid amounts are returned.

Non-refundable items

• Sessions already held
• Written deliverables already sent to you (e.g. annotated Lebenslauf, options map, close-out memo)
• Deposits where cancellation falls inside the windows above after preparation has started

Rescheduling

You may reschedule a session once without charge if you give at least 48 hours’ notice. Later or repeated reschedules may be treated as a cancellation of that session slot.

No-shows

If you miss a session without notice, that session is charged in full and is not refundable. We will offer to schedule a replacement at standard rates.

Work already started

If you pause or end a multi-session engagement after we have begun reviewing your materials, you remain responsible for fees covering completed sessions and documented preparation time at the hourly advisory rate, capped at the engagement total.

Refund process & timing

Email info@cognitivecompute.digital with your name, invoice reference, and reason for the request. Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 14 business days of approval.

Method

Refunds are issued by bank transfer to the account that paid the invoice. We do not provide cash refunds at the office.

Our cancellations

If we must cancel, you may choose a new date or a full refund of prepaid amounts for undelivered work.
